THE SLAB

I have been waiting to write this post about our new house titled, THE SLAB.

On Monday the 31st of October 2011, THE SLAB was poured. Everyone I have spoken to about building a house talks about THE SLAB. It’s a momentous occasion…it’s like the vision of the house that is to be, starts to come to life. The foundations are poured and by default, the foundations of the family are laid.

Ok , ok I know that was too much (my tongue is firmly in my cheek!) …anyway…it’s just really bloody exciting to see the outline of the house and to be able to point and say, that’s going to be the lounge room, that’s my bedroom, that’s the laundry etc. etc.
